What a girl wants

If you haven’t noticed already, it is Valentine’s day next week. That February 14th celebration of all things romantic that you either love or hate. I’ve floated in between the two camps, depending on my relationship status, although, my mother, bless her, always made sure I got a beautiful gift, if I didn’t have a Valentine to call my own.
For some of us, ‘gifts’, is higher up there as one of our love languages. The truth is, that for the majority of us girls, a little romantic gesture in the form of a thoughtful gift can go a long way.
Lots of men would love the chance to be romantic but just sometimes are short of ideas about what the special lady in their life might really enjoy receiving.  I do know that most men with a tiny bit of help have it in them to do a little woo-ing. My business has been proof of that. I’ve had many men buy my robes as gifts and give really careful attention to ensuring a personalised touch with perfect embroidery. I’m also aware that a fair few men browse through my online shop, which has been both surprising and lovely!
So, as it’s Valentine’s day and as a way of thanking all those men, I thought I would offer a little help, by providing my top ten Valentine’s day gift ideas. Buy any of these and you’re sure to have a good February (and possibly a very good year too!).

Top ten ideas

Idea 1 - Box of cupcakes
Instead of a classic box of chocolates, why not go for a beautiful box of cupcakes instead?
Entrepreneur and friend, Tadinka, set up Yum2three and creates bespoke cupcakes for clients. They are truly delicious and are so pretty. Simply click here to place your order today.
Idea 2 - Jo Malone, engraved candle
And just when us girls thought it couldn’t get any better than a Jo Malone candle, they started to offer a glass engraving service. These are gorgeous, and if you are worried about scent I don’t think you can go wrong with their signature Lime, Basil & Mandarin.
Idea 3 - Photo frame Oliver Bonas with a lovely photo of you both
All Oliver Bonas photo frames are both beautiful and good quality. To make it all that more special, print a photo via an online printing service such as Photobox straight from your mobile phone of a photo of the two of you (hot tip, make sure she looks great in it!).
Idea 4 – A very specific kind of bouquet
There are flowers, and then there are flowers. Every girl will know what I mean by this. Pick a beautiful florist to help select the perfect bunch with you, with a selection of complimentary flowers. My go to is Wild at Heart, their bouquets are simple stunning and this is on my personal Valentine’s wish list.
Idea 5 – Slip pure silk pillow case
Silk pillow cases are the latest trend, and some people swear by them. The perfect remedy to beauty sleep they say. For the ‘it’ brand go to SpaceNK and purchase a slip pure silk pillowcase. My favourite is the caramel colour, but I’d be happy with any.
Idea 6 – Cosy cashmere stocks
This is a cute one, especially if you want to do something a little low key. My favourite cashmere socks are from The White Company. They do them in pink, and always have a lovely gift wrapping service too.
Idea 7 – Hardback copy of Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
If your partner is a book worm, I can’t think of many lovelier presents than a beautiful copy of Pride & Prejudice in hardback. Write a lovely message on the inside cover, and it will last the test of time (a possible one to hand down to the grandchildren one day...)
Idea 8 – Facial voucher
Facials are the dream. 50 minutes of someone essentially stroking your face and making your skin radiant. Why not get a voucher for either the House of Elemis in Mayfair, or even more luxurious a Sarah Chapman facial in Sloane Square. You seriously cannot go wrong.
Idea 9 – Personalised notebook
Stationary is so under rated, particularly a good pretty notebook. Especially if your partner is a girl boss, this could be the gift to go for. My two favourites is this Smythson ‘She must be obeyed’ notebook, and this Martha Brook ‘The best is yet to come’ notebook. Both come with personalisation options to make it extra special.
Idea 10 -  A Georgina Keeley luxury robe with silk embroidery
And of course, I couldn’t let this special romantic day go by without mentioning my robes as a potential gift option. I am offering 10% off for two days only, on all personalised embroidered robes. Simply quote ‘BEMYVALENTINE’ at check out (offer valid from 22:00 6.2.19 to 22:00 8.2.19).
Happy Valentine’s day all.
Peace & love,
